Miłosz Bembinow

Born in 1978, composer, conductor, lecturer. He has received many awards and scholarships – among others the Bavarian Government and the Polish Minister of Culture. He has been awarded the decoration of honor “Meritorious for Polish Culture”. Currently he is an Assistant Professor at the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

Bembinow’s artistic output covers not only chamber, orchestral and oratorical pieces but also popular compositions and film scores. His music has been performed hundreds of times in the majority of European countries, South and North Americas as well as in Asia. It was also presented by various radio and TV broadcasting stations as well as issued on over 40 CD albums. Several of these CD’s received such awards as the ”Fryderyk” or the ”Orphée d’Or” and obtained the Golden and Platinum Record statuses.

Urszula Buyuly

Member of the Artist in Bloom team. Coach of career development for artists and cultural professionals. Educator and designer of development processes in organizations. Certified assessor of Harrison Assessment – psychometric tests examining professional predispositions. Competence researcher in the cultural sector.

Magda Chołyst

Founder of the Artist in Bloom studio. A designer of educational experiences in line with the Scandinavian Kaospilot school. Certified coach of Ericsson International. A researcher, diagnosing key competences needed by the creative environment to prosper on the cultural market.

Radek Chudzio

Started his career as a manager of the independent artists, then joined Progresja – the biggest music club in Poland – as Booking Manager / In-house Promoter. After that he opened the Warsaw based office of Fource Entertainment (www.fource.com) – concert promoter, event organizer and festival booker operating in Czech Republic and Poland and became the Managing Director of the Polish branch.

Rafał Chwała

Artistic Director of East of Culture–Different Sounds

By education, cultural studies, filmmaker.

By occupation, cultural manager, producer of artistic events, working at the Workshop of Culture in Lublin.

Over the past several years, he has co-created such events as the Night of Culture in Lublin (long-time music curator), the film series City Movie and Cinema under the Stars, the literary and musical series Book It! and the concert series Different Sounds Zone.

Marie Fol

Project Manager (DE) and Development Lead of Keychange, the global movement for gender equality in the music industry. Fierce advocate of international cultural collaboration, Marie operates as cultural manager, expert and researcher in the arts, culture & creative sector at European and international level. She is the President of On the Move, the international network dedicated to cultural mobility and Company Director of Res Artis, international network of artist residencies.

 

Misia Furtak

Misia Furtak is a composer, singer, bass player, and activist. Together with Très.B, an international indie rock band she sang and played bass for, she received a Fryderyk Award and Poland’s prestigious Polityka’s Passport. Solo, as Misia Ff, Furtak won the Grzegorz Ciechowski Award. She later collaborated with eg. Mazolewski Quintet (the album she appears on was awarded a Gold Record), arranged for a project realized with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, and with Hatti Vatti, the quirky electronic producer from Tricity, she formed an intriguing indie-electronic duo – Ffrancis. In 2019, she released the self-produced “Co przyjdzie?”, written together with Hania Rani. Vogue writes: “With this album, Misia Furtak is elevated to the league of PJ Harvey, Feist, and Cat Power”. Her latest release is “Wybory”, a gentle chronicle of the last year in Poland’s politics.

Iryna Gorova

Co-founder and CEO of MOZGI GROUP, producer

10 years of experience in banking and 10 years of expertise in the creative industry allowed her to develop a personal approach to business. Starting with the founding of the production center MOZGI Entertainment in 2010, she transformed it into MO3GI GROUP – the largest marketainment company in the creative sector of Ukraine.

Sally Anne Gross

She is both a music industry practitioner and an academic. In 1993 she was the first woman to be A&R Manager at Mercury Records UK, and she chaired the first ever panel on gender in the music industries at ‘In The City’ music conference in Manchester. Sally-Anne has been working in the music industry for nearly three decades, as an artist manager, record label director and international business affairs consultant. In her current role at the University of Westminster, she is the program director of the MA Music Business Managementwhere she teaches Intellectual Property and Copyright Management, Artist & Repertoire and Music Development.

Marek Hojda

Board member of Music Export Poland, a foundation established by the ZAiKS Authors Association, board member of board of the European Music Exporters Exchange. In the past, he served as vice president of the ZAiKS Authors Association, member of CIAM ExCo, chairman of the NGO Council to the Minister of Culture. Composer of jazz, pop and rock music, arranger, vocalist.

Marek was born in 1966 in Krakow and graduated from the Jazz Faculty at the University of Music in Katowice in vocal class, arrangements, and compositions. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2022 with a certificate in “Music Marketing”.

Magda Jędrzejewska

Magda Jedrzejewska is a music industry professional with a focus on music marketing and innovation. She graduated with a BA in Music Business from University of South Wales in Cardiff and an MA in Global Entertainment and Music Business from Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. Magda also worked as a Digital Marketing Manager for Independent Digital, a Warsaw-based music distributor, overseeing digital campaigns for both Polish and international independent artists. In her current role as a Marketing Executive at Music Ally, she’s combining her passion for marketing and education by providing cutting-edge insight into digital marketing strategies for artists, managers & labels.

Tamara Kamińska

Tamara Kamińska

A graduate of the University of Silesia, where she earned a master’s degree in philosophy, and a postgraduate degree in cultural management from the University of Economics in Katowice.

Since October 2018, she has served as a director, and since May 2022 as a member of the Board of Directors of the Music Export Poland Foundation. Since 2019, she has been working with the National Commission for UNESCO in Poland as an expert on creative cities and the ZAiKS Authors’ Association as an advisor to the Board of Directors. In 2022, she took on the role of coordinator of the European Music Exporters Exchange network of export offices, where she is responsible for, among other things, raising funds from external sources and working with global networks of music industry players. As an independent consultant in the field of creative industries development, she has and continues to collaborate in the creation of strategies for development through culture with many cities around the world, such as Ramallah (Palestine), Ambon (Indonesia), Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) and Daegu (South Korea). In 2021, she began her research process and is currently preparing her dissertation at the Creative Economy Research Center in Warsaw.

Reiner Kern

Born and raised in Mannheim, Germany. He studied chemistry in Karlsruhe and Heidelberg before changing to the culture and city development fields. He holds his university degree in chemistry and political science.

He is the Festival Director and Artistic Director of the biggest german Jazz Festival, “Enjoy Jazz – International Festival for Jazz and More”, which he also founded in 1999 in Heidelberg. Enjoy Jazz (www.enjoyjazz.de) is held every autumn for seven weeks in the cities Mannheim, Heidelberg and Ludwigshafen. 2020 marks the 22nd Edition of the festival.

Kate Lowes

She is Head of Programmes at Brighter Sound. Kate has worked in music for over 20 years in community focused-work, artist development, event production and more recently as a researcher. She has recently completed a PhD at the University of Manchester researching the gender gap in the British Music industry. Kate’s research is practice-based and connected to her development of the Both Sides Now initiative which runs across the North of England to support early career artists and influence change with regards to gender equality in music.

 

 

 

Patrycja Łobaczewska

Expert in digital sales & music promotion strategy with 15 years of experience in the music industry. Currently a manager at Believe Poland, one of the largest international music distributors in the world. For years, she has been regularly cooperating with the largest streaming services and creates a strategy for promoting the music of the labels and artists.

Vickie Nauman

Specializes in the intersection between technology and music, focused on licensing, relationships and music rights; helping grow companies from point A to point B; and global strategic development.  She is Founder and CEO of the boutique consulting and advisory firm CrossBorderWorks and has an ambitious portfolio of forward-thinking companies in gaming, tech, consumer electronics, finance and music since 2014.   A digital music pioneer and web3 enthusiast, Nauman worked on licensing and product for one of the first legal digital services MusicNet (RealNetworks JV), led strategic partnerships for connected device company Sonos, started and ran the US business for global music platform 7digital, and did digital music business in Europe and China as a consultant.

Agnieszka Odorowicz

Since 2016, she has been a member of the board of directors of Cyfrowy Polsat SA, responsible for film production and television studios. From 2005 to 2015 Director of the Polish Film Institute, Former Deputy Minister of Culture (2004–2005), responsible for the legal department, economic department, European affairs and cooperation with Parliament. Awarded the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for outstanding contributions to national culture, for achievements in activities for the development of Polish film art.

Wojciech Orliński

Graduate of Uniwersity of Warsaw. Author of a number of books on internet, science, technology and culture. His biography of Stanislaw Lem was translated to 4 languages (unfortunately, English is not among them). Between 1997-2021 worked as a journalist for “Gazeta Wyborcza” daily, currently employed as a teacher – but still writing in his spare time. His upcoming book will be a biography of Nicolaus Copernicus.

Panevska Bojana

Bojana Panevska

Researcher and writer; she holds a bachelor’s degree in Audio and Visual Art from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Sandberg Institute, both in Amsterdam. Her research work has been published in a variety of journals and books in Europe and the USA. In addition, she has over 15 years’ experience of working internationally in the cultural sector, with a focus on strengthening the position of artists in society and freedom of expression.

Aga Samitowska

She runs whocares.media agency and works for Kayax as a manager.

Professionally associated with the music industry for over a decade. Passionate about new technologies in relation to the creative industry.

 

Jarosław Szubrycht

Gazeta Wyborcza journalist. Editor-in-chief of “GaMa” magazine (formerly “Gazeta Magnetofonowa”). He has also published in “Polityka”, “Przekrój” and both incarnations of “Machina”, among other publications, ran the T-Mobile Music and Red Bull Music portals, and hosted an original radio program on Off Radio Krakow. Author and translator of music books and biographies – including Vader, Slayer and Maryla Rodowicz. Member of the program board of OFF Festival Katowice. Member of the Council of the Phonographic Academy. Retired metal singer, associated with the Lux Occulta band.

Liudmyla Tsymbal

She has 10 years of experience in copyright and collective management sphere and is a Director of Licensing and International at Non-governmental organization “Ukrainian Agency of Copyright and Related Rights” (NGO UACRR). NGO UACRR is Ukrainian music and drama copyright society, member of International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC). NGO UACRR represents global music repertoire in Ukraine having close to 100 reciprocity agreements with sister copyright societies around the globe, including Polish authors’ society ZAIKS. Liudmyla has participated in numerous national and international events and working groups dedicated to copyright and collective management representing the interests of Ukrainian creators.

 

Balázs Weyer

He is an ethnomusicologist and director of Hangveto, a world music production company in Hungary and the larger region. He is curating several festivals, including Budapest Ritmo. He is the lead expert of Creative Europe project ‘MOST’ and  is representing the city of Veszprem in the UNESCO Cities of Music network. He is a WOMEX Samurai (2014, 2020) and a member of the World Music Charts Europe jury. He is also a producer and music consultant of movie and TV soundtracks, a music journalist and the chairman of Music Hungary, the music industry association of his homeland. He is a European Capitals of Culture consultant for cities on cultural development projects.

Agnieszka Wojciechowska

She is a cultural animator and manager by education (UMCS) and a PR specialist (UW).

She has been professionally involved in the production and promotion of cultural events for over 15 years. At the Workshop of Culture in Lublin she is the head of Contemporary Culture Department Programme director of East of Culture – Different Sounds festival.
